The McGregor Company serves growers in Washington, Idaho and Oregon with the seed, crop inputs, equipment, services, research, and advice needed to raise healthy, sustainable crops. Our IS team provides support and resolutions for over 350 employees across 40+ locations.

Position Overview

The Project Specialist will support the successful delivery of technology solutions across The McGregor Company. This role bridges coordination and project management by working closely with internal stakeholders within the Internal Solutions department and external stakeholders across divisions including AgWorks, FieldReveal, and Premier Crop Systems. The Project Specialist ensures projects are well-organized, progress is tracked, and communication flows effectively between technical teams and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Coordinate planning, execution, and monitoring of technology-related initiatives.
  • Assist in developing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Using tools like Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Jira and Zendesk track project progress, update status reports, and escalate risks or issues.
  • Facilitate communication between Internal Solutions, AgWorks, FieldReveal, Premier Crop Systems, and other business units.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues.
  • Support project documentation, including requirements, process flows, and meeting notes.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations or updates for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
  • Provide logistical and organizational support for meetings, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Some travel to Branches required to participate in discovery meetings with stakeholders and training/implementation sessions.
  • Gain experience in project management best practices with the opportunity to take ownership of small-to-medium projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, business analysis, or related role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies preferred.
