Downrigger is a water conditioner, pH adjuster, non-ionic surfactant, deposition and drift reduction aid, and activator combined to create an all-in-one adjuvant system that outperforms stand-alone options. The water conditioner in Downrigger aggressively binds to hard water cations that can tie up the active ingredient in the tank. This improves the pesticide efficacy by keeping more of the active ingredient available to attack weed targets. Because Downrigger is less acidifying than alternative adjuvants, the active ingredients in a tank treated with Downrigger are less volatile – allowing glyphosate, in particular, to be more compatible with other herbicides.

In The McGregor Company replicated research trials, Downrigger consistently demonstrates a 5% improvement in burndown activity when compared to AMS. Not only does Downrigger outperform AMS, but it also simplifies the grower’s operation by significantly reducing the total weight and volume of packages being handled.
