President
Ian is the fourth generation at The McGregor Company, joining full-time in 1999 and becoming President in 2017. Throughout his career, Ian has held various roles, including Vice President. Ian is active in the industry and has served as Chairman of the Agricultural Retailers Association, Vice-Chairman of Aligned Ag Distributors and Franklin Holding Company, and as a member of the Board of Directors for The Fertilizer Institute and Willard Agri-Service. In addition to his work in agriculture, Ian previously owned a technology business. In his free time, Ian can be found attending livestock shows with his children and pursuing his passion for aviation as a private pilot.

Alex spent his childhood years in Hooper and Pullman, WA – gaining life lessons from both the ranch and the “big city.” Ever a faithful WSU Cougar, he does hold degrees from Whitman College and University of Washington. Alex joined the family business in 1976 under the reigns of his father, Sherman McGregor. Every day since, he has played an integral role in the history of The McGregor Company and continues to be an influential voice for the agricultural industry, always fighting for the best interests of our farming families and their communities.

Clark grew up in Pomeroy, WA with a strong interest in agriculture that led him to a degree in Agribusiness. He began his career in the fertilizer and crop protection industry, and quickly joined The McGregor Company in 1978. Since then, Clark has held many roles within the company and experienced most facets of our industry making him an invaluable member of the team. Clark also had a dual 38-year career in Fire & EMS retiring as Chief of Colfax Fire & Rescue in 2017. Clark currently serves as a board member for The Asmark Institute and ResponsibleAg.

Doug grew up one generation removed from the farm, but always looked forward to visits to the farm on family trips. While attending Washington State University, Doug began his early roles with The McGregor Company and quickly returned after completing his degree in Agricultural Mechanization, with a minor in Ag-Economics. Doug has served many roles from Service Technician, to Account Manager, to Business Unit Manager, and now General Manager of Operations, with many roles in between. Active in his community, Doug has given back as a First Responder, City Councilman, and School Board member across many regions of the PNW. When not at work, or trying to golf, Doug is proud to have the greenest yard in the neighborhood!

Heath has been part of agriculture and The McGregor Company from a very early age. His family’s dryland wheat farm is in eastern Washington near Colton, where he remembers at a young age watching his grandfather visit and shake hands with Sherman McGregor. It was at that point that Heath understood the significance of a handshake between businessmen. As the General Manager of Retail Operations, Heath supports our branches by providing them a level of leadership and autonomy that allows each to succeed. Having started as a Service Technician right out of college, Heath continued to take on more responsibility in different roles within the company that provide him an identifiable viewpoint for his current position. Heath spent over 20 years of his career in the fields among the Walla Walla and Touchet Valleys before returning to his roots amid the rolling hills of the Palouse Country. He and his wife Leslie feel right at home back on the family farm in Colton.

Sean grew up in Garfield, WA on his family’s wheat and lentil farm. He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in finance after which he pursued a career as a financial advisor. Following his initial start with Edward Jones Investments, Sean worked at Washington State University in various capacities including payroll, treasury, and modernization. Sean joined The McGregor Company in 2018 as Controller before transitioning to his current role of Director, Accounting and Finance. He holds both Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designations in addition to a Masters of Accounting. Sean lives on his family farm with his wife Jenny and daughter Helen.

A native of Idaho, Lisa grew up on a dairy farm in Cottonwood and graduated from the University of Idaho. After completing her B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics, Lisa worked as an agriculture/commercial loan officer for 24 years before joining The McGregor Company as Director of Credit. Lisa enjoys working with farm families and her special devotion to non-profit organizations has included serving the Kiwanis Club of Colfax, Palouse Habitat for Humanity, Latah County Vandal Boosters, Whitman County Special Olympics, United Way of Whitman County. Lisa loves sitting down with a good book and spending time outside with family and friends.

Craig grew up in the northern panhandle of Idaho and attended the University of Idaho where he graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry. Before joining The McGregor Company as Director of Crop Nutrition, Craig built a 24 year career in agriculture production holding a variety of positions within engineering, production, sales, and sales management. Craig enjoys helping solve challenges for teammates both inside and outside the company.

Prior to joining the agriculture industry, John earned his MBA from Northwest Nazarene University and built a 10 year leadership career in the agro-chemical manufacturing space. Now the Director of Crop Protection, John is a firm believer in the concept of chasing small incremental gains in whatever we do, both at a professional and personal level. Staying humble and being curious about the world we live in is also important to John. In his spare time John likes to spend time with his family and when time allows he can be found either on the golf course, on the river fly fishing, reading a book or watching soccer.

Just outside of Pullman, Washington Kellie grew up on her family’s wheat, lentil & barley farm with fond memories of riding in the combine and driving grain truck. Kellie enjoys country living and has stayed close to home since graduating from Washington State University and receiving her ranking as a Certified Professional through Society of Human Resources (SHRM-CP). Kellie loves to explore nature and travel to see new places with her husband and 2 kids. One of the things Kellie most appreciates about working for The McGregor Company is coming back to her roots within the agriculture industry and being part of an organization that helps farming families feed the world!

Nathan was born in Utah, but moved frequently throughout childhood and early adulthood. Now, after years of relocating, he has firmly planted roots in Washington and plans to stay! Prior to working in agriculture, Nathan gained extensive skill and experience in the banking software industry, but enjoys the local, community-focused principles of The McGregor Company. Outside of the work, Nathan is an avid armchair quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks and enjoys spending time with his friends and family – his wife, kids and fur-kids keep him grounded.

Raised near Moscow, Idaho, Leslie values her upbringing in a rural setting, which taught her the importance of hard work. Leslie has put her Agricultural Economics degree from the University of Idaho to good use across the many roles she has held within the company. Today, she serves as Director of Outreach and actively collaborates on public policy, rural economic development, and environmental issues while also engaging in agricultural literacy and workforce development projects. Leslie enjoys working with her hands, from crafting to mechanics, and the view from her front porch on a dryland wheat farm near Colton, Washington.

Ryan grew up in Eastern Washington surrounded by agriculture and received his degree from Washington State University. Priding himself on delivering the highest quality and most sound agronomic advice, Ryan obtained his Certified Crop Adviser certificate early in his career and spent time traveling throughout the Northwest to experience the diversity in our cropping systems. Ryan enjoys spending time with his family on the river in the summer or on the mountains in the winter.

Cat claims Pullman, WA as her hometown, although she ‘did time’ in Ohio as a soybean breeder after earning her graduate degree from Montana State University. In 2015, Cat jumped at the opportunity to move back home when she accepted the role of Director of Research & Technology for The McGregor Company. Cat is committed to addressing region-specific agricultural challenges and applying research to directly benefit farmers, emphasizing the practical application of scientific discoveries to improve crop yields and manage plant nutrients effectively. When she isn’t chasing crops around the PNW, Cat enjoys chasing cans with her daughter at barrel racing competitions and family rodeos.

Dylan grew up changing hand lines and wheel lines in between baling hay for his family farms in Joseph, Oregon. After graduating from Washington State University, Dylan quickly joined The McGregor Company in our ‘Fast-Track’ program. Now a Business Unit Manager, Dylan has traveled the company regions and gained experience in many cropping systems from irrigated seed crops to organic vegetables to dryland wheat, peas, and garbs. When he isn’t working, Dylan can be found hunting waterfowl or skiing on a mountain top.

Born in Las Vegas, Arty grew up with ranching and farming family, but spent little time on the farm until moving to Uniontown, WA in high school. Arty worked summers on a farm throughout high school and sparked his desire to pursue a career in agriculture. After graduating with a B.S. in Agriculture, Arty joined The McGregor Company and worked his way to his current position as Business Unit Manager ‘from the ground up.’ Arty enjoys fishing and archery with his family, WSU football, and making old things new again.

Darrin was raised on a small farm in LaCrosse, WA. After pursuing education in Agricultural Mechanics and Agricultural Business, Darrin returned to LaCrosse where he began his tenured career with The McGregor Company in 1983 as a Service Technician. For many years Darrin also coached school basketball, from elementary age to high school, and loved watching the kids grow their skills in both life and basketball. Darrin has filled many roles within the company and today works as the Business Unit Manager for the Columbia Plateau Team. He enjoys golfing and building projects, but most of all his grandchildren.

Kerry grew up raising alfalfa, corn, and cattle on his family farm & ranch in White Swan, WA. After graduating from Washington State University with degrees in Agricultural Economics and Animal Science, Kerry knew he wanted to give back to farm families in a way that could improve their bottom line. Kerry enjoys using agronomics to solve real problems on the farm and the pride of helping farm families succeed. In addition to participating as a member of the Ellensburg Rodeo Diamond Directors, American international Charolais Association, and Washington and Kittitas County Cattlemen’s associations, Kerry and his family also raise registered Charolais cattle.

Growing up Sam spent summers working on his family’s farm in Viola, ID. After high school, he joined the Navy and served as a hospital corpsman for six years with the Navy and Marine Corps. During his time in the military, Sam worked as a surgical technologist at various trauma facilities, receiving most of the wounded soldiers and marines from the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Sam met his wife while on leave at home in Idaho one summer near the end of his tour. After leaving the military, Sam and his family relocated to Walla Walla, and shortly after he joined the McGregor Company. Today, Sam and his wife are raising their 3 children on their farm. After 19 countries and 12 U.S. States later Sam has found his true passion in PNW agriculture and helping serve our farm families.

Doug grew up raising row crops and cattle on irrigated farmland in the heart of the Columbia Basin. After graduating from Washington State University while working summers on the farm, Doug quickly began his career in agriculture working his way up from Service Technician and Crew Foreman, through sales roles, and now as Business Unit Manager. Over the course of his career, Doug has volunteered with many organizations including Special Olympics WA, local 4-H clubs, travel softball teams, and most recently, acting as President of The Far West Agribusiness Association. Doug enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, saltwater fishing, hunting, Seattle Kraken hockey and keeping up with family, friends and life!

Born and raised on the Palouse near Genesee, ID, Bill joined The McGregor Company in 1990 as a Service Technician. Bill has worn many hats, and filled many roles over his years with the company. Today, he works as the Business Unit Manager for the South Palouse Team. Bill is passionate about giving back to local communities and enjoys preparing the next generation to do the same. In addition to serving on the Genesee City Council and participating as a charter member of the Genessee FFA Alumni Association, Bill has volunteered as a fireman and EMT for over 35 years.

Raised in Warden, WA Mike literally grew up inside the seed industry with his uncle running the local mill for 45+ years. After earning his degree in Public Administration from Eastern Washington University, Mike returned to the seed mill in Warden as a Facility Supervisor and never looked back. Today, Mike serves as Business Unit Manager of McGregor Seed and bases out of Walla Walla, WA. Mike and his wife, Tara, enjoy watching football (go Seahawks!) and spending time with their daughter and grandson.
